HAIL the day a short story was released about a cool universe!
Tracy ,'The Message'
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Cheese and cake! Let the celebration commence!
Taking a break from copyediting to read these now.
It's still work, though. Sigh. My life sucks; I have to read her new stories and re-read her other stuff SO I CAN INTERVIEW HER!
Not that I'm psyched or anything. I am also counting a re-read of "The Hot Zone" as research for the interview.
(I have a shitton of questions, and will have more, but if anyone has a burning question, feel free to email me. I can't guarantee I'll be able to ask it, but I will try!)
My burning question is: Clones? Really?
Reading the new short is on my list.
I'm popping in here to say that I was blown away by how gracefully (in public at least) Mary Robinette Kowal is handling the printer's error on the book that came out today. The first sentence is missing, although it was there in the ARC.
I saw that, Sox! How outrageous!
Ha! Just wait till you read Blackout, Ginger.
I'm looking forward to your interview, Erin! Ask awesome stuff she's never been asked before!
Sox, the Twitter meme is hilarious. I've been having fun with it on Facebook. And, yeah, I agree she's handling it really well.
Just wait till you read Blackout, Ginger.
I am waiting. And waiting.
t makes rude noises at P-C
The wait is almost over!
Man, I really hope Blackout makes the NYT list. I've thought from the beginning that the books had the potential to be a breakout mainstream success, so I'm hoping the Hugo nominations will help.
P-C, you are EVIL. I'd cut a bitch for an ARC, but Seanan said they don't do ARC's for series.
I have Cabin in the Woods and Avengers to get me through till June.
Ask awesome stuff she's never been asked before!
No pressure, huh?! I read the shorts you linked to; they were really fun, and I'm reading the Shadow Hill Road stories now and taking notes. /geek
