It really does. Diary-keeping, imaginary kingdoms, madness, an island!, the 1930s ... I might look for it tomorrow at our local indie.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
smonster, I've never heard of anyone specific and Cohen only says cryptic things about it.
Gotcha. Hope I didn't come off too snarky, was not my intent.
I read the second book in that series, as it was available on the kindle from the library, and it was really quite good. Because I hadn't read the first, I could not figure out who were siblings and who were cousins
Hope I didn't come off too snarky, was not my intent.
I was on the snarky side, myself.
::high-fives Ginger::
totally wrong thread. Sorry about that.
Because I hadn't read the first, I could not figure out who were siblings and who were cousins
The siblings are Toby (the blond boy), Sophia (the narrator), and Henry (the tomboy). Veronica is the cousin (and daughter of the King), and Simon is possibly her half-brother and also the King's son, I haven't read the second one yet and I don't know if that's been answered.
Replied in wrong thread. sorry.
In the second book, it is implied that Toby
and Simon are lovers, and Sophia likes Simon.
So the half brother thing is a little confusing.
Yes, that's also implied in the first one. So, half-cousins, I guess. The British are less stressed about consanguinity.
