Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Pete (mostly jokingly) told me off for my post last night, because he says now he knows there are exciting things that happen to those characters, and he's going to spend the whole time he's reading the book waiting for Things To Happen!

I told him to get over himself.

(But iiieeee! Many plot twists I didn't see coming. And a couple I had hoped for.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The release date isn't until March 1 (according to iBooks, anyway).

That is the official street date, but Amazon is shipping orders out earlier. My copy turned up yesterday, and I devoured it last night.

Yes, I was thinking the official date might explain Tep's library not having it yet.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

They don't even show it as ordered, so I think they're dragging their feet on this one.

Well, shoot. That's pretty cool you can get that much information, though.

Librarian Warlord

Steph, if they have a suggestion mechanism then let them know it's out there to be ordered and that it is part of a series to which they have been otherwise keeping up. Our collection development happens off of lists that vary in quality with information, and it's possible they just missed it or someone didn't recognize it for what it was. Believe me, they'll be happy to hear from someone excited about it.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ginger, I know a lot of people who did, which is why I checked it out -- I generally trust my friends' taste, and if they liked it, there's a strong chance I will, too. And that's also why I was bummed to not like it.

that was my take on Boneshaker, too. Wanted to like it -- didn't.

Jilli, I buy most books via Nook these days, so I gotta wait. But I will totes dish in a few!

I am going mad with wanting to burble at someone about Timeless. MAD!

... but I have to gloat, just a little bit. I've been emailing Gail Carriger about some other stuff, so I did get to squee at her about one particular thing in the book. She said she was particularly proud of that part.
