I didn't love Boneshaker, and didn't get the hype. Very bland IMO.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I liked Boneshaker
Ginger, I know a lot of people who did, which is why I checked it out -- I generally trust my friends' taste, and if they liked it, there's a strong chance I will, too. And that's also why I was bummed to not like it.
I think it would have been a better book if it had stuck with the voice of the mother, but I liked the characters and the story, plus all the jury-rigged survival stuff.
Fun story about Cormac McCarthy copy editing books from physicists.
I thought Boneshaker was fun, but I like Cherie's urban fantasy novels better. (Bloodshot and ... I am blanking on the sequel.)
Audible just informed me there is a version of Dracula read by Alan Cumming and TIM CURRY. BRB, buying an audiobook.
ha! I was just coming in to post the Cumming/Curry Dracula.
Someone else get a copy of Timeless and finish reading it so I have someone to flail with!
I ordered it this morning, since my library doesn't have it, which is odd, because they had the first 3 books on their release date.
Anyway. SOON.
Pete (mostly jokingly) told me off for my post last night, because he says now he knows there are exciting things that happen to those characters, and he's going to spend the whole time he's reading the book waiting for Things To Happen!
I told him to get over himself.
(But iiieeee! Many plot twists I didn't see coming. And a couple I had hoped for.)
