NPR interview with George R.R. Martin. He does read a chapter from early in ADWD so definitely spoilery through the beginnings of that book.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
A bookish holiday, a reading retreat: [link]
“The happiest guests are big readers. I find them reading in the library, the garden and even in the kitchen while we cook dinner. The library is growing steadily, and many guests donate the books they bring to the castle to the association's library. Some people come alone, some as couples, and others in small groups. There are often local Italian members in the castle who come from Bologna, Ferrara, or Modena for dinner or to attend concerts, art exhibits, or other events. The unique mix of foreign and local friends of the Castle is a pleasure for both because there are always familiar faces around but always new people to meet as well. Many visitors enjoy trying out their Italian while the Italians take the opportunity to practice their English.”
OMG Sue. This sounds WONDERFUL. Man.
I know! I want to leave for Italy tomorrow.
Yes!
Wouldn't that be great to have a buffista excursion there?
Yes!
Have fun storming the castle!
Better than Deadline? I thought it started a bit slow, and then it was AWESOME!!!!
You were totally street marketing for Seanan. I threw Feed at Dan, and was like "Bruce. Fucking. Campbell. In-jokes. And zombies."
Bruce Campbell is totally a freebie on his Free Faithful Fuck List. No questions, no guilt, go ahead, darling, if you get the chance.
"Bruce. Fucking. Campbell. In-jokes. And zombies."
