Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Amazon wants you to honour your stance. Don't fight it.

Right? So much for you, Amazon.

I ended up signing up with the Philadelphia library to get my library books. I don't have my credentials yet, but when I do, whoo, library books on my nook.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm missing something obvious, Kat. I'm puttering around NetLibrary, and although it says I limited my list to downloadable books, it's bringing up an Opera-unfriendly viewer. I created a NetLibrary account and everything, and no book is showing me check out and download options.

Can you tell me a title you downloaded?

I don't use NetLibrary but Overdrive because I also get audio stuff for school. A Title I just downloaded was Very LeFreak.

If it doesn't work, ita, I'll try to recreate the steps I took. It was a pain the ass to get everything to work but now it's kinda great.

I think I got it working, Kat, but damn that was a lot of steps. And installs. And glayvin.

Now I just have to remember to read those damned books. The selection was irritatingly low. Most of the stuff I wanted wasn't available. The artificial restriction on resources is annoying, although I understand it's not financially viable to have infinite copies.

They make it painfully difficult, don't they?

I'm on a lot of waiting lists for books there. They have some stuff I'm excited about. And yes, the resource restriction blows.

BUT it means I don't have to go to a branch to get books and I like that. And free.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm still rooting for Kaya but I wouldn't cry if they cast Hailee.
