serial: I am home from work today. My cold was getting worse and I felt feverish last night. Tom arrived safe in Atlanta, so that's good.
'Just Rewards (2)'
Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Poor Nora! I hope you feel better soon!
I actually do feel better, once I woke up. But I slept so horribly and felt so awful that I called in and then tossed and turned for another couple of hours and then woke up, feeling better than I have all week. I don't quite feel guilty because you never know when a sneak cold attack will bite ya on the ass.
Even though all I wanted to do yesterday is leave work early (and go home and go to sleep) a friend who I NEVER see emailed me and said he'd be available to hang out that evening. So, I arranged to hang with him early (for him, he drives a cab at night, though he had the night off yesterday) at 5ish, and was able to get to the 8pm train. I had to weigh the crappy feeling of health against how I never see him and I really wanted to, and I think I made a decent compromise/choice. Meeting early, and staying low key. Got home to an empty house t insert stiff upper lip here and got the trash together to go out, watered Tom's seedlings, set up the VCR to tape VM and Dr. Who, did some dishes, took a shower, talked to Tom a bit, slept fitfully.
Morning. Sorry for crappy living situations! You all know of my own roommate hell, which is why I am so pathetically grateful for my single this year.
I packed lots last night, which is great. I think I really am going to have everything moved before I graduation, which is just bonus.
However, I have a staggeringly overwhelming amount of homework I didn't do last night because of aforementioned packing. Sigh. I hate being unprepared for class.
Spidra and vw, I feel your pain. We're living with my father-in-law and brother-in-law, and it's not easy. Actually, it sucks. Having your own space is so important, and it sucks when that gets trampled on.
Much ~ma to everyone with difficult living situations.
I was just doing dishes. I set aside the dishes Not!Emily left in the sink, and worked around them. He noticed that when he went to leave, gave me a dirty look, and slammed the door on his way out.
Mature, huh?
My brother-in-law (who admittedly has some paranoid issues) refuses to wash knives. Every morning, there will be at least two or three knives left on the counter, not even in the sink. (He makes his *dinner* at about 11 p.m. most nights.) Strange and highly annoying.
Mature, huh?
Oh yeah.
Ugh. I just spent an hour downloading a tv show I missed last night, and there's only sound, no picture! Fix it! Fix it!
Also, me WANT this apartment: [link]
