She'd be six or seven depending on when it would work out. I'm not real comfortable with either waiting outside the woman's restroom in a stadium setting, but I'm not real sure about taking her into the men's restroom either.
I have vague memories of being carried into men's room stalls with my eyes closed at that age. I thought it was a hoot.
I've been thinking about taking my daughter to a baseball game at some point. The big concern (other than the marriage issues this might bring up) is what to do when she needs to use the bathroom.Scott hasn't taken Julia yet, for this reason (and because she can't sit through an entire inning at home yet, with any real interest). She's quite angry her big brother is going to his second game (ever) this year, but he didn't start going until he was 9.
Gud, I think that my husband ended up just hovering outside the ladies room. One time I think he found a grandma/mom-like person who made sure she made it into a stall OK. but it's a tough call. Any chance there will be "family" restrooms there? Those were a godsend to my hubby.
I'm with Dawn. I go to bunches of games and would gladly escort a child upon request.
I don't remember where you live, but many of the newer stadiums are built with family restrooms for just this purpose.
Gud, at that age, I was fine going into the women's while my dad waited outside the exit door, although I remember being taken into the mens at four or five.* Depending on how confident she is in crowds, you might want to look for less mobbed times (mid-inning instead of the seventh-inning stretch, for example), do a few practice runs at quieter places, let her know exactly where you'll be waiting when she gets out, etc. ISTR getting adopted by matronly types in the line in those situations even when I insisted I was perfectly capable of negotiating the women's bathroom line experiene myself.
* not quite as weird as it sounds, for those who don't know the backstory -- single widowed dad, sports fan family, before the days of family-friendly unisex public rest rooms.

Gud, I know that on one occasion when my daughter was really little (like 3 or 4) he had to take her in the men's room, but it was a production. He felt he needed to let the guys know he was coming in with a little girl, covered her eyes, plus he had huge issues with letting her sit on the seat. I think that at 6 or 7 she was OK by herself. Plus amych gives some good advice, a dry-run, so to speak, might be the ticket. YKidMV
