BWAH!!!
Hm. I have 2 wedding presents to get before June, both for already-household-established couples, so I will be taking notes. The Roomba is a good idea.
One of the couples is our long-time friend and Mal's honorary uncle and his Moldovan girlfriend. We'll be going to Moldova for the wedding there. They'll also have a wedding in the States in the autumn. Some of our other friends in the States who know him via us wrote him and offered to through them a shower, something to welcome her to the States. I was surprised, and proud of them. She's really awesome, and I imagine it's not a little scary to move away from your home country.
I want to get married just so billytea will send a gift! Ok. Not really, but, man, you sure are a nice guy. Wallybee is one lucky lady!
Funny Days stuff!
Jen, freaky! You stay safe!
Must go catch up in LJ and read libkitty's post.
Timelies all!
billytea is a pearl among the swine of humanity. I realize that I need to take notes on how to be A Good Human from him.
Cass, what are you doing up??? Poor bunny!
I was looking for good places to stop and chit chat eventually.
Someone remind me to send my taxes out. They've been done for like three weeks, and I just haven't mailed them. I'm imagining myself forgetting. That would be BAD.
vw, are you getting a refund?
Um. Yes.
I KNOW! I KNOW! It's just...I don't know what I need to send, 'cause the instructions are unclear, and I need to call my dad and ask, and he's gonna be mad at me that I haven't mailed them yet. And, well, it's a vicious cycle.
Oh, that reminds me I need to do my state taxes. I'd have done them on line with my federal, but the filing fee is $24 and my refund is $31, so yeah, not so much.

Didn't he prepare the taxes for you? He probably left it all together as it is supposed to be mailed.
PARENTAL CONFESSION: Sometimes, parents get mad at their kids for stupid stuff that does not matter, and I'm no different, by the by. I don't imagine it ends when offspring reach adulthood, because generally, people get mad at people they love for stupid stuff that does not matter (and because my mother still gets mad at me for stupid stuff that does not matter, and vice versa, by the way).
A lot of times, the anger just comes from a "you didn't do this my way which is the way I want everything done, even stuff I don't do" place.
If your father gets mad at you, he needs to deal with his anger, not you. I don't mean that disrespectfully toward him because I know your parents are good to you, but you are still before the deadline, and it is your taxes you're mailing in, not his.
