I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Viva la Roombalucion!

Ah, yes, that's the one. Thanks for that!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

jen, my new job in a School of Nursing is giving me appreciation for the shaprs container.

Also, weirdly, mymom just called me to tell me about the Bo and Hope divorce, and I (seriously) have not watched Days regularly since 1985!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

(Somone pleeeeease tell me 'Baron" is a perfectly reasonable name in whatever land Mrs. Trump du jour comes from!)

I actually know a fellow named Baron--he graduated from Berea last year. Snooty kid from the Northeast.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aye, Jen! Be careful. Also, fortuitous timing, because insent.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

I've always wanted to say this to Jen:

Helloooooooo Nurse!

(mwah)

Our wings are not tired.

Now Karl, you just made me picture Jen in a naughty nurse outfit. (and she was mighty hott)

I catch Days on SoapNet sometimes at 7pm. It is mostly annoying. But I watched it in HS and it's like junk food.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I met a boy in college (a big, tough, football player) because he was complaining about missing Days because he had practice. I said "well, lemme tell you what happened", and we started going to lunch after class and talking about soap operas. However, I can say with absolute certainty that he was not gay.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I had the most incredible day today, mostly at church. I did this huge LJ post (well, huge for me), in case anyone wants to see it. I'm libkitty there too. I'm just not up to writing about it again, and cutting and pasting somehow seems like cheating. I"m not really going for punctuation, but thought some folks might be interested.

Also, hi everyone!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

libkitty, that is beautiful. That's what I want to point to when people spew hate and call it "Christianity." Because it's not. What the other congregation did for yours -- *that's* what I consider the crux of Jesus's message to be: take care of each other, love each other, don't fuck shit up.

Though I doubt Jesus would have used the profanity.

I'm not so sure about that, although I completely agree with the point of Christianity. A friend at church asked me if I thought we would have done the same. I don't know. I hope so. But if we wouldn't have before, I think we would be a lot more likely to in the future. It's like this is all the most incredible lesson ever.
