Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I think Emily has worked too hard today and is losing her mind.

Yeah, I hear that. Anyway. DONE. DONE! on the 18th page and I'm good with that. Now, for bibliography, fun fun!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

(SA, I feel I should mention that "House Rules" is a kickass workout song.)

I feel like I win at life! hello, toaster. You're very shiny.

Did you get my voicemail from today?

Apparently I have a glittering career as a forger lying before me.

in Academia?

the Rainy Alley of Redemption in 5 x 5 is pretty much the moment that Wes went from being Tim Drake to being Jason Todd. Daaaaaamn.

Have not read it yet! Am very behind on my comics. I'm thinking my comic book guy is going to flay me with his mind.

No, because my cell phone went ded ded dead as a carnival goldfish, and it's currently charging in the kitchen. When it decides to work again, I can get it.

Please excuse. Was doing seven loads of laundry at once. I believe the detergent has shorted out my brain.

What is even happening?

My iPod played "Living Dead Girl" for me while I was at the gym,* which made me think of S1 Angel, and Faith in particular, so I'm watching 5 x 5. And I miss good TV. I really dig Veronica Mars, but it's not the same.

No. Nothing is the same. I can even say I love Veronica Mars, but it's not the same. I watched Restless again recently, and was just blown away.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude. Plei, amych, SA (and other Bat-fans) -- I just realized -- the Rainy Alley of Redemption in 5 x 5 is pretty much the moment that Wes went from being Tim Drake to being Jason Todd. Daaaaaamn.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I think may have started him on the progression to Jaydom, but that Justine's what tipped him over the edge.

But if I try to map it any further, like, say, S4, I go to a bad bad bad Jason/Joker place for which there is not enough brain bleach in the world.

Oh, yeah -- the Rainy Alley of Redemption was just the catalyst. But it *is* the moment Wes can point to -- did you read Batman #650? -- and say "You chose to *not kill* the person who tortured me nearly to death -- how could you do that, Batman Angel?"

Which is to say, the Rainy Alley of Redemption set Wes on the road to becoming Red Hood!Jason, not Robin!Jason.

t edit Relatedly, I really want to see AD play Harvey Dent in a Batman movie. I mean really REALLY.

You mean the one where Jason Cries? Which I first typed as, The One Where Jason Crais, which, umm... really really really makes me want to watch Farscape, but does not mean I want Jason to at some point go out in a blaze of redemptive glory.

I totally agree WRT Dent.
