Who among us can ignore the allure of really funny math puns?

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm having my haircut tomorrow in a whole! new! me! effort.
Yay! I hope it makes you entirely happy.

Thrive to spite them

Aimee -- your tattoo looks really good.

My day turned out better than I hoped. I went walking around the duck pond/park near my house. I walked further than I planned because I mis-remembered how far it is around the pond. I was on my third lap when I saw the sign that said the path is 6/10ths of a mile. Seeing fractions (my old nemesis) sent me into a brief panic --- tenths! omigod! how far!-- but then I realised how far I'd walked decided the fourth lap I had planned wasn't a good idea.

It was a nice walk and I saw the Circle of Life in Three Laps:

1. Baby ducks! cute little fluffy baby ducks of various ages!
2. A pregnant Mama duck (she looked like the pictures of Katie Holmes -- she's about to pop!)
3. Dead duck, sadly lost its life to a car, which I didn't see but I saw the blood pattern on the street (either the duck staggered off the street or the body was moved, I couldn't tell).
4. Duck sex! Not gay necrophiliac duck sex, but regular vanilla duck sex.

Wow. That really is The Life of Duck...

I'm a brunette now. Which I normally am anyway but there's a ton of dark red in it. Now? Not a bit. Or, at least, I am assuming there won't be when it dries.

Then I will startle myself in the mirror for a while, get used to it and then be surprised when it is suddenly reddish again. Ah the circle of the semi-perm home hair color.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jesus, Cass, you look pretty. Great cut.

She went short enough off my neck to necessitate using the razor on my neck, which I am always pleased with.

Moi aussi. Nora, I really need to see your maximum cuteness.

juliana, I felt totally honored to get to see your new haircut first.

Go, Sparky, go!

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I've been totally corrupted by the Buffistas. My first thought on hearing about the Gospel of Judas was - "Fan Fiction. Someone was too in love with the villain to let him stay evil."

[Edit] and since I'm sure it will be mentioned, yes I'm aware that this merely an exact text. I know that both the existence and the general theme of that gospel is not news; standard gnosticism. "Fan Fiction" was still my immediate reaction.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Olivia had her tests late this afternoon and it all turned out ok. Christopher took her because I didn't think I could face holding her down for the x-rays.

Her anatomy is completely normal, which means her noisy breathing is something she'll outgrow, eventually. It's a relief and she's none the worse for wear.
