Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Are they giving you oral steroids, or nebulized steroids?

Oral. I'm already on an inhaled steroid...the highest dose I can be on.

Oh, I'm livid. Just absolutely totally and completely livid.

And I'm sick of having such friggin intense emotions right now. I go from being fine one second to being the opposite of fine in the next.

What's the trigger? Or would you rather not focus?

I'm waiting for my therapist to call back. But maybe after that.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

vw, you have plenty to be livid about. This may be totally off the wall for you, but as long as you don't act inappropriately, it might be kind of nice to be livid for a while. It sounds so cliche, but punching pillows can actually be helpful.

Or, if this isn't helpful, then feel free to ignore and instead follow your therapist's advice, which is probably much better.

hugs.

Hooray for Deena!

Going way back to the talk about Katie Couric, I was catching the Today Show fairly regularly right after Jane Pauley left and they were looking for replacements. Deborah Norville took over for a while and was a complete piece of fluff, especially when talking to people who were actually newsworthy and not just pr-value. Then Katie Couric popped up for her temp gig, and it was night and day. Katie stared down some weaseling politico and made him admit he didn't want to answer her question. I realized that I was watching someone who could do the job. I blame NBC for her current fluff-levels. Once upon a time, she walked the walk.
