I just gave DH a very bald picture of our money. I thought he knew it.
My sympathies (which are actually empathies). I thought I knew, 'til dh gave me a very bald picture of our money, after I suggested hitting the grocery store, yesterday. We then cashed in coins to buy our groceries(very small order).
It will get better. It's only money.
Ok - have walked around and hit the med cabinet for some ibuprofin (thanks sj). Sorry for the fussing. Didn't mean to kill the bitches.
Thanks for your kind thoughts and support. I'm utterly embarassed now.
You didn't kill anything. It's that weird time of day, and the board has been slow since about...sheesh, I think Halloween.
Sounds no fun.
Just confusion. I swear sometimes we have a very different language when we talk about money.
Suzi, don't be silly. No need for embarassment here.
What sj said, Suzi. Plus, if it helps you feel less embarassed, unless my migraine takes a sudden swerve for the better, there's a good chance I'll be getting sick at work today. That's gotta be worse than crying, right?
Also, are we still on for Saturday?
It will get better. It's only money.
Words to live by.
Owen fell asleep draped over the overturned diaper pail a little while ago. I left him in his room to his own devices, waiting for him to fall asleep and sure enough he did.
I picked him up to put him in his crib and he woke up but just looked up at me and rolled back over. I didn't dare risk changing his dirty diaper even which makes me feel bad. But if he can fall asleep in poopy britches, I figured it was ok to let it go.

yup. and talking to him helped. I keep forgetting that he asks me if he can buy something because he doesn't want to keep the info in his head. he trust me to keep things so we can buy groceries and pay the bills. Kinda nice actually
Cash, he might get a touch of diaper rash, if his skin is prone to it, but when my kids were small, my motto was "let sleeping kids sleep".

He's been fighting naps and bedtimes so much lately that I just think this is the best policy. It may stink, but he gets a bath in the evening anyway.
I think this is an example of where it's best to apply Hec's parenting advice of "good enough parenting". (I think that was the phrase. Anyway, you all know what I mean.)

Oh god I hated that milestone. Giving up the morning nap was not so bad, but when they started giving up the afternoon nap as well. I was ready to drug them both! (kidding...sort of) I still have trouble getting David to bed at night and he's about the only 10 year old I know with insomnia (sucks royally!) I think he's afraid he's going to miss something. OY! I'm vibing Owen nap vibes~~~~~~
