when my kids were small, my motto was "let sleeping kids sleep"
Amen.
My boss from BOI just called me to check up on me. I guess one of my e-mails reflected my bad day. She made me laugh, which helped.
I also have a "Trigger Point" massage scheduled for 4pm. I have found a spa that is 3 blocks from my house.
I am going to look for a local massage school for future use.
I've always had a difficult time sleeping as far I remember.
I think he's afraid he's going to miss something.
I remember feeling that way as a kid. Nowadays, I'd like to see the thing I wouldn't miss for good night's sleep. (I mean, I really would, because it would have to be amazing.)
I'd like to see the thing I wouldn't miss for good night's sleep
Oh man, I hear ya! It has to be something extra special because I loooove sleep. What's funny is that the 14 year old? Usually in bed by 8:30 but my 10 year old? He'd stay up until midnight if he could.
Dawn, my boys are like that now -- the 14-year-old is asleep by nine most nights (and sometimes -- gasp! -- takes a nap after school), but the nine-year-old can stay up forever. And still wake up relatively perky in the morning.
And still wake up relatively perky in the morning
This is the part that kills me. When I only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep, I'm a zombie. I can barely make it through the work day, but the 10 year old? Runs around all the whole day playing soccer, and basketball (the only consolation is that on very rare occasions, he'll fall asleep on the drive home but otherwise? He's full of energy!) It's crazy! The 14 year old is sooo not a morning person, we never say anything to her until after breakfast but she's pretty chipper then.
Everyone is shocked with how easily CJ goes to bed at 8pm. He might natter around in his room, but by 8:30, he is usually O U T.
K-Bug wakes up early, but it is best not to talk with her unless she talks first.
On Tuesdays I give K-Bug and another teen a ride to school at 6:45am. I love being Miss. Perky to their teenaged morning gumpyness.
I love being Miss. Perky to their teenaged morning gumpyness.
Love this! If the fallout wasn't so bad, I'd be all chipper and perky to her in the mornings, but as it is, it's easier for a little grump in the morning, than all-grump, all-the-time-door-slamming-crabbyness we'd get.
These days I'm a zombie even if I get a good eight hours. And waking up takes me even longer than usual. I'm one of those don't-talk-to-me people in the morning, too.
Dawn, it is a short drive to school and I only do it once a week. It is more fun bugging the neighbor boy. He is in full mono-syllabic mode these days.
