[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I talked with vw for a little bit last night. She sounded good. They are running all kinds of tests and are still trying to figure things out.

I have no migraine help - sleep is about the only thing that helps me.

K-Bug turns 16 on Monday. I am feeling vera old.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Exact same ingredients and dosage levels as regular Excedrin.

What's up with that?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The Excedrin Migraine crap? Exact same ingredients and dosage levels as regular Excedrin.

When Excedrin was approved for migraine use, Excedrin decided to create a new label for it, rather than simply slapping "also approved for migraine use" on their old boxes. It was a marketing decision. (And one that was pointed out repeatedly during the original launch -- their entire TV ad campaign was based around a "same product, new usage" slogan.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Doesn't Excedrin Migraine also come with a helpful pamphlet about migraines?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

, the sparkly things might be due to low blood pressure. I get them sometimes--do you feel a bit faint if you suddenly stand up?

Not particularly. (It's a good thing I have an office with a door that shuts--I just bopped in and out of my chair a few times to check.) Still, it makes sense. My blood pressue tends toward the low side.

Luckily for me, Excedrin does the trick - asperin, Tylenol, and caffiene.

I'm glad. Hmmmm. Halfway through the sparkle show I washed down some ibuprofen with a diet Coke for cramps and etc. Now I just have a mid-range headache and no real interest in lunch. I may have self-medicated my first migraine without even trying.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. Interesting migraine tidbit--I just talked to one of my editors who used to have severe migraines about once a week. Ever since she got mono last year, followed by a low-grade Epstein-Barr infection she says she hasn't had one.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My co-worker just walked into my cube with the very Michael Kors shoes I want but don't have $190 to spend on (I'm getting the Steve Madden knock-offs). If she didn't wear such a small shoe, I'd kick her ass and steal them.

What size does she wear? I might want them, so you'd at least get to kick ass today...

Herding cats for fun

Have any of the migraine people tried the Gatorade cure? I hear it works for some. When a headache is coming on, take 5, put feet up, close eyes, chug a cold Gatorade. Pushing one's electrolyte balance towards optimum levels seems to help.

If this works for you, please mail me a huge consulting fee. Thanks ever so much. Your health is important to me, so please stay on the line, putting up with me indefinitely. Heh.

When I started the Pill, I got migraines. They always started with an aura of visual disturbance, flashing lights, etc. Fortunately for me, they pretty much went away when I quit.

Re: Carrots: Did anybody ever see the Sexy Carrot photos? Those were quite a thing on eBay once.

She wears an 8, but the shoes are 7's.
