I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

I remember positively swooning over that Premiere cover. Gary...come look at me that way.

And thanks Nicole. We're really happy!

Planning is in full swing for the All-Fella-All-The-Time birthday weekend coming up:

  • Friday night St. Pat's party with friends
  • Saturday morning, breakfast in bed
  • full body massage
  • a burlesque I've written especially for him
  • trip to a museum to see some art he likes
  • dinner with friends, featuring a table reading of the Serenity sock puppet theatre, complete with sock puppets and character bios...plus writing Fella's rpg character into the script
  • darts/pool/margaritas
  • dessert at my house (my 70% chocolate cake with a fresh peanut butter frosting
  • Sunday morning brunch with friends featuring a trip to the fish monger
  • Firefly RPG at my house
  • Sushi making at the above mentioned friend's house
.

Did I forget anything? Yes! Prezzies...including a hand embroidered dice bag, toys and an appointment with my acupuncturist to jumpstart his health.

Phew! Ima need to rest all next week.

I'm getting the pig!

I can link to the auctions.

Thank you. Both the casserole dish and the teapot are absotively beautiful! I think I may need to haunt ebay for a bit tonight. I don't know why I always thought practical items had to look practical. Stupid of me, really.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Hivemind check! Do I want this dress? [link]

I've been looking for that style for a while now (and the Stop Staring site doesn't have it in stock, drat them.)

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Yes, you do and so do I.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Aimée, Winona's actually wearing a wig, so you could go out and get that haircut in the picture literally right this minute (assuming there's a wig shop in your building).

Is this the one JZ was wearing Saturday? because it was a great dress.

That's it.

Nuh-uh! The Saturday dress is a swirly but slender black crepe dress with brocade collar from the 30's. The new vintage dress is completely different, and I didn't wear it on Saturday because it's a wee bit showy and costumey and I didn't feel right about it, because Saturday was supposed to be all about juliana and her mom.

Dress porn ahoy:

The new dress is a bright, deep blue with beige and black stripes (the pattern is sort of like a horizontal-only plaid). It has a deep front-and-back scoopneck with an extremely large collar (so big it almost covers the t-shirt length sleeves) with black velvet ribbon trim. The waist is just a teeny bit dropped. There's a vertical stripe of the dress material running down the front of the dress. The overall effect is vaguely nautical. Hopefully pictures will be forthcoming.

If I only had a brain...

My poor husband just did a series of allergist visits and was poked with needles to discover why he is congested all the time.

He has non-allergic rhinitis, which is far harder to treat than the allergic kind. He's not allergic to anything; his nose is just mean.

Curses.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Jilli, can you wear that neckline? I can't, and I always have big envy of the women who can wear those graceful boat necklines.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So....has anyone had anything *good* happen to them lately?

My mom's been in town, and we haven't fought yet! It's been a fantastic visit, actually.

Also, another step in my emotional recovery has been taken. I may actually be not-feral in the ways of dating soon! This is good.

JZ's dress is verrrrrra pretty. I lurves it.

edit: oops, well I loved the dress JZ wore on Saturday, and next time, love? You be as showy and flashy as you want. I never mind sharing spotlight with you.

I'm pretty sure I can. I have no idea, actually.
