I've never been able to rest as much as doctors have recommended. I suspect all those doctors had someone else doing the laundry and buying the groceries.

Ginger - sometimes I don't know what doc's are thinking. My mom started home dialysis a month or so ago. Recently she has been showing me how to set-up the stuff. Those bags of solution are heavy! For someone who is ill and weak, that is quite a job to do each night. But they just ship the supplies weekly and expect her to be able to handle it all by herself. My mom is stubborn (duh) and still doing fairly well most days, but not all dialysis patients are. Just boggle.

vw, I know it's frustrating as hell, and it sucks, and the universe has dealt you WAY more than your fair share of crappy situations in a short amount of time, but -- your health is *so* much more important than making it to work, or even school. If you have to drop another class, the world won't end. I promise. But if you push and push and push yourself to maintain a regular schedule even though your body is saying "Erm, excuse me....pardon me....HEY!!!! CUT ME SOME SLACK!!!!", you could end up even sicker.

Take care of your health, honey. The rest will work itself out.

I'm sure Teppy's right, but I couldn't advise it without being a terrible hypocrite, because I am the poster child for not doing what the doctor said. Of course, I had a double mastectomy in the morning and went home that afternoon, so vw probably should listen to saner people.

Thanks! The closing is sneaking up on us. So far I have had to dig through scraps of paper and finally ask for proof of payment from a couple of clients to explain some "suspicious" deposits into the bank account after being told that proving (which I did with the taxes) I'm freelance would explain them. I've had to sign a bunch of papers I didn't know I had to sign and send them overnight to the mortgage company since they weren't signed last time we met. Inform the landlord that we're moving out at the end of the month and hope they don't demand to see the apartment for at least another couple of days, AND re-do our 2003 tax return because the print out that the IRS sent me that they said the mortgage company would take (I can't find our copy anywhere!) wasn't good enough.

I've also called the school district and explained Aidan so they'll be able to prepare for him; called utilities to explain what's up, and was told by the cable company that it doesn't matter that they give our neighbors cable, they won't give it to us. Ivan, our friendly CSR, couldn't find the city name in the database and refused to ask a supervisor or look any harder.

Um, too late to make a long story short, but the last thing to do before closing is homeowner's insurance, a quote for which SHOULD have been in my inbox day before yesterday but still has not arrived. I have called to poke about that, too, but the database was down or some such and they're doing the best they can. So, impatiently waiting for everything to be DONE. Hopefully, we'll be closing on the 23rd.

When I was sick a few years ago, I had to drop out of school completely for the semester. I was frustrated because I felt like I was a failure by not being able to cope with everything and because I was prolonging finishing school by getting myself off schedule like that. Upshot is that I'm human and have my limits and really couldn't cope with everything all at once, but that didn't make me a failure. And, I am finishing my program later than I had expected, but I'm also healthy and able to deal with it.

Shoot, just with my re-fi, it felt like there was always one more thing that needed to be signed. Grrrrr.

Ok - are there any buffistas in the Boise, Idaho area???
