These girls have the most beautiful dresses. And so do I -- how about that?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I did get a comment from my recipient, and she was quite pleased, so that's the important bit.

Also, I kind of want to go in and fix the formatting of my fic.

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Even better, my recipient hasn't posted a comment yet. She hates it!

Heh. I had that reaction too - I went and checked my recipient's LJ and I think she's left for holidays in Mexico. Thank god some other generous soul commented on the story, or I'd be sitting in a corner ready to eat worms.

Oh, whee, I'm having a kerfuffle in my LJ from someone objecting to my non-use of fanon elements like consorts and mating rituals and mates and all that. Plus the new arrival is going "I haven't read all the previous parts, why is this so confusing?" Possibly a legitimate reminder to tell new folks where the rest of things are. I never expect to attract new readers who haven't been faithfully following events.

That's a legitimate whee, by the way. One of my regular readers is taking the new arrival to task. Someone cares enough to tell me I'm doing it wrong!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dear lord. Not just objecting to non-use, but claiming you've got things wrong because it doesn't follow the overdone fanon ritual shit?

Always Anti-fascist!

As if. Suppose she likes "childe" too, right?

Well, I like "childe", so I can't get too overwrought.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I, too, was all "No one recced my story! I am a blight on the face of fankind! I shall never write again to save us all the pain!" Regardless of how foolish it was.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Well, the problem with Yuletide is that in a world of obscure fandoms, there are still popular ones (Good Omens) and ones that no one has ever heard of, like the one I wrote in. Which makes any comment I get precious and joyful.

Oh! Hopefully this won't repeat a prior rec by someone else, but I ran across Yahtzee's "Goodnight, Moon" Joan of Arcadia fanfic the other day. (It crosses over with events, but not characters, from The Day After Tomorrow.) This is good enough that it brought tears to my eyes when I've never watched a single episode of the TV show.
