As if. Suppose she likes "childe" too, right?

Well, I like "childe", so I can't get too overwrought.
I, too, was all "No one recced my story! I am a blight on the face of fankind! I shall never write again to save us all the pain!" Regardless of how foolish it was.
Well, the problem with Yuletide is that in a world of obscure fandoms, there are still popular ones (Good Omens) and ones that no one has ever heard of, like the one I wrote in. Which makes any comment I get precious and joyful.
Oh! Hopefully this won't repeat a prior rec by someone else, but I ran across Yahtzee's "Goodnight, Moon" Joan of Arcadia fanfic the other day. (It crosses over with events, but not characters, from The Day After Tomorrow.) This is good enough that it brought tears to my eyes when I've never watched a single episode of the TV show.
Definitly read Goodnight Moon, at the end I was crying.
Also the Yuletide challenge produced two Winnie the Pooh stories, both Eyeorecentric which were very very good. Nice, sweet, G rated gen stories.
Be prepared with Kleenex for Goodnight Moon. Possibly lots of Kleenex.
Someone wrote a kickass Bertie and Wooster story which also has Lord Peter Wimsey in it. It's absolutely fabulous, however sadly unfinished. The writer swears she'll finish it soon.
There's a ton of good stuff written for the Yuletide challenge this year, I'm really impressed.
My recipient responded, and very nicely. I take back all the bad thoughts I had.
How long does lj keep stuff, if, say, my friend, was an idiot and forgot to put her fic in memories? Because somebody was pleading for "The Fledgling" today.
