I believe there are ten thousand (okay, "many") different ways to wrap a sari, and some of them are... actually, I'm not sure about skirt-style, though it seems likely. But definitely there are wraps which make them pant-like (which is weird but cool, since it's one large piece of cloth which manages to turn into two-legged but fully covering pants).

ETA: This just means that it's possible; my guess would be that that's just a coincidence, and she actually meant something sarong-like.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sarongs can also, though, be worn covering the breasts. Or not.

Always Anti-fascist!

I did not know that. Huh. I guess I don't write Gauguin-ish bad fic. I write badfic like those drawings of Marilyn and James Dean sitting in a diner together.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That would be bad!art, erika. :-)

One sect of Aztec priests actually did wear tanned human skins, including flayed faces pulled over their own. However, they had neither saris nor sarongs.

If I only had a brain...

I dunno; I'd say there's lots sarong with that.

If I tilt my head just so, I can actually hear Chico Marx saying it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Michael took a prepared syringe from his biohazard-suit pocket and injected the older man in the clavicle;

Um...ow.

Next Michael inoculated Chandler and the man in gratitude explained the process of restoring Nikita’s memory as tantamount to replanting a winter garden. Of course Michael understood that the most important ingredient to this ‘horticultural’ methodology for undoing the erasure of memory would be hope and faith. Needless to say Michael was in a panic at the prospect of recuperating his beloved’s soul and immediately immersed himself in an unfamiliar state of doom after learning the troublesome approach.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies
