Well, it's at least more than two years, since that's how long I've now been in this apartment, and I know I wrote it in the old one.
One of my flashfiction stories got recced in one of fourthvine's entries about a month ago, too. Guess my writing appreciates with time.
Bwah! The Bush/Kerry piece reminds me greatly of the SV
Diary of Lex Luthor as a 13 Year Old Girl
from a couple of years back. Now THAT was funny.
I'm not seeing any aesthetic or intentional difference between this guy's RPS and the aforementioned SV piece. Or Plei's Kissinger/Deep Throat piece. Comparing it to other unprofessional fic, whether intentionally funny or unintentionally funny is perfectly appropriate, as far as I can see.
Betsy, WHERE do you find this stuff?
A.J. Hall linked to that one. She has quite a lot to say about it on her LJ, too.
Definitely have to check it out. I love the copyright at the bottom, and the final note:
Also, please take a moment and say a prayer for Harry Potter's author, J.K. Rowling, that she will invite Jesus Christ into her heart and also become a Christian.
Oy.
that she will invite Jesus Christ into her heart and also become a Christian.
Dude, she has to do both? You'd think one or the other would be enough, really.
Wow. The Hagrid characterization is really stellar.
"I still don't trust him Harry, but if that is what you want, I'll take you there. You wait here and I will go talk to Professor Dumbledore and explain what is happening, and get some transportation. You keep Fang company, and I'll be back in a bit," Hagrid bellowed as he left the house.
Also, please take a moment and say a prayer for Harry Potter's author, J.K. Rowling, that she will invite Jesus Christ into her heart and also become a Christian.
(I prayed when I'd read that. My prayer was roughly, "Dear Goddess, please keep J.K. Rowling, and the rest of us, safe from crazy Christians, and allow her, and the rest of us, to find our own right paths, whatever that path may be, Christian, pagan, Buddhist, whatever. So mote it be.")

Yay! I followed someone else's LJ link, but this promises to be entertaining.

I do wish A.J. Hall would put her diatribes behind cut-text, because they tend to overwhelm my screen.
