Hee! Here's one response, from the Blessed Ann Larimer:
"But...but..." Billy spluttered. "That's--it's--I am not a transvestite! I'm a man!"
Dom and Dr Leib stared at him.
After a moment, Dom said, "Hermaphrodite?"
"Her what?" Billy asked.
"You mean 'hermaphrodite.'"
"I do?"
"Yeah. And actually you sort of are. With the ovaries and all."
"Wait. Wait. Waitwaitwait. A what now?"
Dom gave Dr Leib a pleading look. "Doctor...? Is there, like, a pamphlet or something?"
"Not as such, no," she replied. "This just doesn't come up that often."
"Okay. Okay. Now I'm confused," said Billy. "Are you saying I'm Jewish?"
I love her.
Way back on a SV mailing list I saw a post of someone's "great" story idea for Lex and Clark and how they could be together (and I assume with kids), her idea was:
Lex has his head cut off and reattached to a woman's body. That way Clark and Lex can have a normal relationship.
That was my response too. It seemed like an attempt to keep MR's face and get around the slash aspect.
And I thought I was a sick fuck and I am but "cut-off heads" and "Normal" have no place in the same sentence.
If anyone still reads
Smallville
fic, Lanning Cook's posted the next part of the
Identical
series. Which is rather good, iirc.
Frank: Do you think some people work harder at being stupid than others?
Tim: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes.
Lex has his head cut off and reattached to a woman's body.
Because the world needs more bald women. I mean, the poor guy already waxes more of his body than I ever expect to shave [of mine]; giving him a phenotypic reason to have no body hair is really just the next logical step!
Someone needs to send someone else a copy of Dorland's Medical Dictionary. Or to smack aforementioned someone else upside the head with it.
