A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Dude. You. Rock.

Eva Green plays the witch queen. Which rhymes! Nicole Kidman plays Mrs. Coulter. Which doesn't.

Both of them might be a little crazy.

move out and draw fire

Nicole Kidman plays Mrs. Coulter.

Perfect.

Who plays the golden monkey?

Tom Cruise.

Or maybe that's just in my head.

Hey. New board.

Evan Rachel Wood.

I was going to suggest this. I was going to add that she's kind of dating Death, in a much more disgusting variation. Somebody somewhere has probably called him that, anyway.

I am skeeved by that whole thing, but I don't care. I have thought she is an incredible actress since she was 10 in Once and Again and nothing I've seen has convinced me otherwise.

I should have my next Netflix disc waiting for me when I get home tonight--Children of Men. I don't know if I'm in the mood to watch it tonight, but I'll definitely see it over the weekend. I've been wanting to see it since last December; I hope it's as good as I've heard!

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

We caught a preview of Knocked Up tonight. MAN. That's the purest Apatow movie yet: all raunch combined with the sweetness of real family values. Fantastic.

We saw POTC3 today. I, unsurprisingly, liked it. Yeah, the maelstrom scene went on waaaay too long, and where the heck were the rest of the pirate fleet during the big battle, but on the whole, I liked it a lot.

I don't agree with the end Norrington got, tho'. In my version, he escapes with Elizabeth and her pirates, and eventually ends up as the captain of the Flying Dutchman.
