They just want to leer at Dominic West, I suppose. That's why I rented it. What? But there's only two or three scenes in it about art. Honest.

Music of the Heart? I'm bad at remembering movie titles.

IMdb confirms it. Not so bad a memory after all.

Dead Poets is a little old, but I think it's a way better movie than MLS, Although I think it was aiming at "Dead Poets For Chicks"...I just don't think it hit it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Mona Lisa Smile is about college students, right? So not quite adolescents. What about Rock School?

School of Rock? Jack Black? Hmmmmm...now that is interesting.

Nope, Rock School - a documentary about a school that teaches kids how to be rockers. School Of Rock works too, though.

School of Rock is about a private school, so it makes it harder to answer some of the questions. Am looking at Music of the Heart and Rock School to see if either would fit.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. It is amazing how challenging it has been coming up with ideas that fit the assignment and I'm the only one of the team offering suggestions.

move out and draw fire

Plus isn't School of Rock little kids?

It's been an ongoing bone of contention within the school systems forever.

This shouldn't be, either. It makes me crazy that budgets are limited to the point where it seems like it has to be a choice between arts and sports, and actually kids should have both if they can physically do them.

Now, I'm Captain PickedLast, but graphic and performing arts are physical and there's a lot of right-brain stuff going on in sports (I'm not counting baseball statistics, obviously).

Anyway, my basic point is More Money For Schools.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Center Stage might be a good recent choice, though I'd go with Fame as the better movie of that ilk.
