A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

There was the Colavita olive oil

Was the brand stated out loud, or did you recognize it from the label.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think it was named--I don't remember the label, but the shape of the bottle matches my memory.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It wasn't stated, but it's a very distinctive bottle shape/color.

I always buy those big metal rectangularish containers, so I didn't recognize it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I also spotted the Colavita bottle, but I don't remember seeing the label. And really, I didn't think the product placement was all that different from most other big shiny productions these days -- there were products I noticed, but not in that awkward "here, let me set my Coke down directly in front of the camera in every single shot" way. The only thing that read as F-150-ish to me was "hey, I can take a photograph with my telephone! And then send it by electronic mail through the local series of tubes!" which wasn't a brand-name, just a matter of over-explaining pervasive technology in a way that made me think the script had been kicking around for a couple of years.

Oh gosh, how could I have forgotten the magical wonderful animal that is the Treo!

Still, I think the PSP landing the plane has it beat.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

To wrench the discussion away from SoaP for a moment (which I don't think I'll be able to see, for my squick factor is high), what movie(s) would people nominate for the Gothy Cliché movie of The Aughts?

I had been talking about doing a Gothy Double Feature of Lost Boys and The Crow, and I was wondering how to round it out for the new millennium. Any thoughts?

(Underworld is currently the mental frontrunner, but it has even less of a plot than the other two.)

SLEEPY HOLLOW?

That I wish I could be there when you do this. So fun!

Underworld would be good. If you want something with a plot, you could always choose Gypsy 83 (roadtrip/coming of age movie about a goth girl and her fabulous gay boyfriend).

Moulin Rouge? The first Blade movie? (I love the opening nightclub scene.) Sleepy Hollow?
