Saw
Underworld: Evolution.
Had a number of conflicting thoughts--if the movie starts in
1202, and Selene's been a death dealer for 600 years--was she turned in 1223 and just sat around? Or did they wait on imprisoning William? How come that shotgun blast from the soldier near the safe house didn't tear her clothing. How in HELL does she get in and out of those clothes? What does it take to kill a vampire or a werewolf anyway? How "Fezzik! Tear his arms off!" "Oh
that
gate key!" was Markus's interrogation of Tannis?
I don't think we were meant to notice those things, ita. I think all we were really supposed to notice was Kate's butt in leather.
My god, her butt! I also like that Scott Speedman continually and pointedly ended up shirtless, for no clear reason.
Something that quite impressed me was the use of the word "fuck." It seemed really natural.
It was like three-quarters of the way through the movie before I realized that the no-nose guy was that other guy. It didn't turn out to matter.
Yeah, not so much mattered, except that Speedman also seemed to have lost his belt. I couldn't tell you when, because as soon as his shirt came off I couldn't pay attention to other stuff. But it was riding way low by the end.
The jump out of the helicopter was nice. Pity he didn't hit the water headfirst, though, so we could have done away with the pants altogether.
I had the distinct impression from the first movie that Selene's family was killed in the 18th century, and she'd been a vampire a little over two centuries. Making her over 600 really sabotages the "you're too young to safely awaken Victor with your blood" bit that was a fairly major plot point back then.
Death dealer means vampire, right? Not just one job description of vampire? Because the timelines
really
don't work.
I was given to understand that Death Dealers were the fightin' vampires, the ones who did the dirty work so the rest could sit around wearing corsets and engaging in intrigues.

Ita, there were some odd things in that chronology, and I'm not sure I remember well enough to answer you.
The imprisoned brother: was his prison constructed before he was captured or after, and if so what did they do to keep him contained while it was being built? Selene was turned after it'd been built--but she was a child then, and wouldn't she have remained a child? Or was she a child then?
Kate Beckinsale in fetishwear clouds my memory.

This.
If they're sticking with what they ripped from White Wolf games.
but since these guys were like Reilly, O'Connor, Washington, and Plot Device, it was like "eh."
HAR.
