Seriously, Spidey vs. Evil Suit would be enough for one movie.
But in the comic, wasn't Spidey in the middle of a fight with someone (possibly one of the Goblins) while he defeated the suit for the first time?
Speaking of, was it just me, or did it look in the trailer like Spidey was in a belfrey during that "ripping the black suit off his own body" sequence?
They may be keeping very faithful indeed for S3.
I appreciate that they are *about* something, that the characters in them deal with real human emotions and problems and challenges, albeit writ large.
Yes, exactly.
P.S.: I do not know how to spell villian/villain. They both look wrong. I know it derives from villein, maybe that's a clue.
It seems to be. It's villain.
Now I just need to figure out which movie will most likely be showing the Spidey 3 trailer...mmm....
A friend of mine saw it with Superman Returns.
Topher Grace does NOT seem big/bulky enough to play Eddie Brock. IJS.
He's a special kind of Eddie Brock. The...kind of wimpy kind.
But MAN, Thomas Hayden Church is so perfectly Sandman -- the same way J.K. Simmons is J. Jonah Jameson. Impressive.
Cool. As I said, I've never encountered him. But J.K. Simmons looks so ridiculously like JJJ, it's...ridiculous.
He was one of Spidey's cooler villains.
Apparently, he can turn into a giant...sand....man? And hit you with sand? The CGI looked cool, at least.
Maybe it is the Hobgoblin, then. Green Goblin II=Harry, Hobgoblin=some other dude.
I can't keep track of all the Goblins. So Harry is supposed to be Green Goblin II, and Hobgoblin is the copycat? From the end of the last movie, I anticipated Harry becoming whichever Goblin he's supposed to become since they really pushed the "I totally blame Spidey for my dad's death" angle. But the trailer shows him avoiding a pumpkin bomb, so...I don't get it.

Sean, that's totally what it looked like! It made me happy. I only know Venom from the animated series, but that was definitely a familiar scene.

Spidey's Sandman is like the T-1000, except made out of sand.
And he hits hard. Sure it looks like flowing sand, but think about it -- his will keeps it mostly solid, and that's a lot of sand hitting you at once.
Spidey's Sandman is like the T-1000, except made out of sand.
Kickass!
Spidey's Sandman is like the T-1000, except made out of sand.
This is what I was going to say, though he predates the T-1000 by about 30 years.
Although he doesn't have the "look like someone else" abilities and is still made of sand, which does have its disadvantages.
So does Spidey defeat Sandman by turning him into glass?
Perhaps Mr. Glass?
Meaning Samuel L. Jackson is in the next movie??
Sandman gets turned into a minimalist composer?
So does Spidey defeat Sandman by turning him into glass?
No, he unleashes a herd of house cats on him who use him as a giant litter box. The scritching eventually reduces him to sand-covered poo.
No, he unleashes a herd of house cats on him who use him as a giant litter box.
Yeah, but where's he gonna get a herd of house cats on such short notice?
This sounds like a job for... Crazy Old Cat Lady!
Besides her power to defeat Sandman with cat feces, she can instantly create usefull objects by stacking cats!
"Form of... a cat bazooka!"
