Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Just got back from seeing Slither. It was a fun romp, and my prior impression of it being a combo of John Carpenter's the Thing and Night of the Creeps was dead on target. Just a warning to squeamish folks, it's grosser than anything that's been filmed since the first of those movies. Don't eat anything less bland than soda crackers before you go see it.

Why, Nathan, why?!?

Ugh, I can't believe I'm going to have to go see this movie. I can't believe they're even making this movie after the first one proved to be utterly craptastic.

eta: Of course, immediately afterwards I ran across these photos, so Nathan can consider my presence in the theater bought and paid for.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Having spent a happy few minutes browsing through that LJ entry Matt linked to, I have discovered that there exists a movie where Sean Bean kisses another guy.

WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS? I feel that all of fandom has failed me.

Edit: *and* Clive Owen? This is the best LJ post ever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jaysus. That's every man that ever kissed another man without it being gay porn. Right there. Must send link to sister.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hey -- White Noisier. Or maybe, Noise Harder?

As a friend of mine was lamenting that Andre Braugher, an actual Good Actor Who Deserves Better Work, was featured in the remake of The Poseidon Adventure, I explained that Braugher has little children who need to be clothed, housed, and fed. But she's not buying that...

Now tagless for your comfort.

I always remind people that Laurence Fucking Olivier did Clash of the Titans.

That usually shuts down the argument.
