Tara: 'Your One-Stop Spot to Shop for Lots of New-Age and Occult Items.' Catchy. Giles: Think so? Tara: Uh huh. In a... hard to say sorta way.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Heat the tube near the collar with a hairdryer set to high heat. Maybe expanding the metal will loosen it some.

I'm assuming it is similar to the lamps I have, a three-piece pole that screws together. On mine, the individual tubes have threads on both ends, and screw onto the brass fittings between.

Thanks for the suggestions, but already been tried. Even had the channel lock pliers (though I hadn't realized they were called that.)

And yep, it's that kind of lamp.

I give up. I'm going to go dye my hair.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, if this didn't scream child hazard, I'd suggest Gud build one right away.

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth
Like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail!
What'd I say?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm going to guess... no more than three degrees of separation between beth b and Matt and the monorail builders. Possibly just two.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was thinking the same thing, JZ.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I read/heard that TJ's has good frozen dough, but I didn't see any last time I was there. However, I will set a weekend goal of making some wholewheat pizza dough with peanut oil. It's nummy.
They have excellent fresh dough (including a whole wheat one) near the cheeses usually. Freezes like a dream.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

We've looked for the monorail builders, but haven't found them. I'll have to ask around again
