Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG (skating spoiler) these people are so far up Sasha Cohen's ass. "Sure, she FELL DOWN TWICE, but she's so lovely!"

Art Crawl!!!

Hee.

Do they actually tape the commentary live? Or do they go back and tape over tape?

Figure Skating: I'm so happy! I thought Arakawa's piece was good. And I thought that Kimmie Meisner and Emily Hughes did really well and I do like Sasha Cohen's piece . I cannot really comment on Slutskaya as I am ill and fell asleep during her program. I just wanted to see Arakawa's face when she realized she had won. And this was the only metal Japan has one at all, right? Plus it's first gold metal in Figure Skating -- excellent!! Anyway, my question above is because I don't seem to remember them saying much if anything about Arakawa on Tuesday or in any of the stuff leading up to the long program until tonight. Hmmmmmm

My Buffista Cookbook arrived!! I love it! There are tons of recipes I want to try and the Buffista quotes make it like this unique combination of Cookbook/BRQG -- perfect!!

I only wish that I had contributed.

Skating whitefont: loved the winning performance--everything from the quality of the actual skating to the excellent jumps to the music (one of my all-time favorite pieces) to the stunning costume. That outfit was made for Arakawa, and the mandarin collar is something that the Project Runway contestants should use more often in the next season's challenges.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, I agree . . . although I honestly don't think that an figure skating costume will be one of the challenges next time. What other sort of uniform could be?

Definitely something along the same lines as this season's skating costume, because the post office uniform really didn't allow for any creativity.

That's my issue with this season on PR as a whole, though--the lack of thinking outside the proverbial box. A mandarin collar is something not too wacky, and yet the only time we saw one attempted was in Andrae's half-assed jeans cheogsun (that is the word for the traditional Chinese dress, right?) back in the "Clothes Off Your Back" challenge. Daniel's orchid blouse stood out so much because it was such a different silhouette compared to everyone else's outfits.

brillig

Best about about women's figure skating?

No Dick Buttons! (Or Dick Buttkiss, as Hubby calls him)

Scott Hamilton is at least enthusiastic about his opinionatedness.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No Dick Buttons!

He's there. Being a bitter old queen.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sigh. This is the part I hate about going to sleeo nice and early.

Timelies!

Somebody tell Frankenbuddha that it's really Friday now. He's not imagining it.

Me, I've got a nice new haircut, and if you aren't on LJ you won't have seen it:
