Random question that isn't leading anywhere, I'm just curious: Are CA schools still relatively insanely cheap instate as opposed to out of state? I remember when I got acceptance from some of them, we were idly discussing transferring my residency to my aunt's (who lived there.) Then Guilco came in with a stellar offer and the CA schools were off my list.

Relatively. Berkeley lists Undergraduate total costs (including room and board) for a year at just over 23K for residents, and 41K for non-residents.
