Fred: The size and depth of the wound indicate a female vampire. Harmony: Or gay! Fred: Um…it doesn't really work like that.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Start listing reasons why we should crash the Supernatural panel, slightly tipsy, and yell out "But they're BROTHERS!" periodically.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Start listing reasons why we should crash the Supernatural panel, slightly tipsy, and yell out "But they're BROTHERS!" periodically.

Do you really need a reason?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm on minute 70 of a conference call. I stopped listening at about minute 45.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

"Babe" was banned on the basis that animals can't talk and some viewers would be confused.

That anecdote about the Chinese public lining up to buy Coca Cola after "Coke adds life" was mistranslated as "Coke brings your ancestors back from the dead" may be more plausible than I thought...

Hmmm....

President Bush was unaware of the pending sale of shipping operations at six major U.S. seaports to a state-owned business in the United Arab Emirates until the deal already had been approved by his administration, the White House said Wednesday.

I starting the form the opinion that his Bush guy isn't a big player in the Bush Administration.

Oh dear. I just posted SOMEWHERE and it wasn't the right place and I have no idea where it was. I'm losing my mind.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

President Bush was unaware of the pending sale of shipping operations at six major U.S. seaports to a state-owned business in the United Arab Emirates until the deal already had been approved by his administration, the White House said Wednesday.

Unaware? I thought he was saying he would veto any bill that blocked it.

ETA:

Bush vowed on Tuesday to veto any attempt to block the $6.8 billion takeover, saying scuppering it ``sends a terrible signal to friends around the world.''

Punishingly Intricate

Bitches!

There, I've restored your sanity. That will be $80.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Unaware? I thought he was saying he would veto any bill that blocked it.

Yes. Once he was made aware of it, he's decided to spend some of his political capital on forcing the deal through.

Weird.

But there are administration officials making a lot of money off the deal, so taking that into account this makes more sense.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I have a vague feeling of dread about my performance review discussion. But my responses to the review are already on file, so this is probably quite semantic. It's weird to be doubted on things that I'd considered not even up for discussion.

Oh, I've still got my annual review looming over my head, too, but they're waiting on that until they can finish "re-evaluating the process" or whatever.

I'm scheduled for an hour-long conference call in 5 minutes. I'm completely paralyzed by not giving a shit.

Conference calls I don't give a shit about I can deal with. I just put it on hands-free, hit mute and do other things while keeping an ear open for my name.
