I managed to knock the gas cap off its resting spot when I was filling up my car today. Of course, it landed under the car and I had to lie down on the ground to get it. ick...

Sheryl, if the station's not too busy, next time it happens, move the car so you can reach the cap. Not a viable alternative if the station is busy, however.
