Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

As in Nick Arrojo from "What Not to Wear"?

Yep, Aimee. I got a cut from an assistant there, in a class that he was teaching. Fun!

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

The police said Mr. Power arrived at the shelter on Aug. 3

Whoa. That's some story. He took two days to drive from New Rochelle to Chicago, and lost his car and credit cards and a bunch of other stuff along the way, but went straight to a shelter pretty much as soon as he arrived. So although he'd lost a lot, he retained some really good instincts.

I foresee this guy being written up in psychology textbooks for years to come -- especially if he ends up with a good outcome.

What a sensation, though. It's months on, and missing people never come back after being gone that long, and everybody's finally convinced themselves he's dead in a ditch in Syracuse somewhere, and suddenly the phone call.

What is even happening?

One of the mother's at my kids pre-school suffered a sudden, and complete attack of amnesia, not long after her child started at the school.

(I have to admit when I hear these amnesia patients are parents, there's about .04% of me that thinks just for a moment, "Yeah. Me, too. Can't remember a thing.")

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

Andreas Katsulas, RIP.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not sure what you do to make this activate, but it's meta geeky. Or the next generation of geekdom. Po-gee.

Went to pain management. Did not get any more injections. Instead, I have a sample of and a prescription for lidocaine patches for my shoulders. The left one is tense to the point of pain, so I can't wait to get home and try the first one.

Nerve block in two weeks. One of the instructors wants to make my neuro stop me from getting one, because my chipper perkiness after the last one freaked her out.

Did you know that the 2005 hurricane season was the result of a Rosicrucian conspiracy? Yep. [link]

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Did you know that the 2005 hurricane season was the result of a Rosicrucian conspiracy?

And here I was going on the assumption it was a Rotarian conspiracy.

So Xenu had nothing to do with it?
