'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I spent most of my morning off the computer, just to shake things up a bit. This may have meant watching the TV downstairs, but still.

It's supposed to be in the 50s here today. On Sunday, the projected low temp is 8. Coincidentally, this is the part of winter in New England that starts getting really old, you know?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

She says lots. "Da" or "Daddy", "pease", "mama", "wuh dat?", and "ita". The last is funny cause they've only met once. I guess ita has that effect on people.

Alright, the "wuh dat?" too cute to stand.

From Flea's link:

She said that a sister of Mr. Power had met him in Chicago and that he would fly home to Westchester County within a day or two. She plans to meet them at the airport, and she is looking for a center where he can go for treatment. He will not live at home, at least at first.

"It would be very hard," she said.

That's just so loving and brave of her. So many people, it seems, get all "s/he'll come home and we'll love them and everything will be fine" when something crazy happens. I'm sure she wants him home more than anything in the world but she's embracing the route that will be hard for HER.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

PR: It was funny how at the party, Jay said that they all tanked this challenge as well. Is it possible that they're just so burnt out at that point?

Also, on Bones did anyone else think that the gang leader was kind of a punk ass bitch? Not because Brennan beat him up, but because Booth just grabbed him and put a gun in his face, and suddenly, he's all scared? What would stop him from just putting a hit out on Booth? And how is the gang leader going to justify recinding the hit? And what's going to stop some idiot from trying to make his bones with the hit even after it's rescinded. I'm not saying that I didn't like the plot point, I'm just saying that it didn't make sense.

Art Crawl!!!

PR: I think so -- also, I think that the stress of it being the very last challenge probably gets to them. Hey -- his dress wound up on the runway. I'm going to go see if any of these dresses do!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I think they're also doing a little numbers game there. All they need to do is not be the worst at that challenge, which forces them to be safe in hopes that someone will fuck up royally. The show provides the perfect opportunity by giving them a safe challenge anyway-- evening dress is the thing they can do with their eyes closed.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Despite sleeping late, I was early to work and prepared for my meeting ahead of time. RAWK!

Today someone picks up my old sleeping bag - thanks to freecycle. more YAY!

Not so yay is the fact that I am unpacked for my weekend business trip. I will therefore be leaving work a tad early (8pm flight). Also I have approx 3 trillion things to try and complete before 5.

Art Crawl!!!

Man, it's dark as night and thundering and raining here.

Also, it snowed last night and the sidewalks were very icy this morning.

Craxy weather!
