Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Green Bay Packers have some private game reserve thing 20 miles from my parents' farm. They import some sort of elk/anelope-ish animals from Africa for the Packers to hunt. But the animals run wild in this huge (I think it's thousands of acres) game reserve.

I was completely appalled to realize that those sad-looking tiny animals on the ranches we were passing were elk and antelope.

How are these animals hunted? Do they have lots of space to hide, or is it, like, shooting elk in a barrel?

I like driving past the Packers' game reserve, as the road is perfectly straight for about 10-15 miles, and there's almost no traffic, so I can drive 110 mph if I want to. Hypothetically.

Has Cheney commented on it? I didn't think he had said much of anything.

No, I think he's refused to comment on it. Or else he's just avoiding the press. But I'm pretty sure his office has refused comment.

Sorry, you're right. I don't think Cheney's said anything (contempt!), but McClellan's been sticking to a wording that very clearly exonerates Cheney from shooting the guy due to his sloppy (and, as I'd wager most hunters would consider them, wussy) hunting habits.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, commenting or not Cheney is "handling" the thing.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The insiders say that Tom, 43, and Katie, 27, plan to keep up the charade of a romance until after their baby’s birth this spring. In the meantime, the couple will live in his Beverly Hills home — though sleeping in separate bedrooms — through the summer.

And this indicates a change from the previous state of their relationship how, exactly?

It's the Texas Hill Country. The tallest trees are some 8-10 feet tall and they're spread out in a way that no one could reasonably think "forest." These ranches have to feed 'em because there's none of their natural habitat. And it's 115 degrees out in the summer. So, yeah, these brave hunters shoot stunted, semi-domesticated, heat-stunned pathetic little elk. I should be clear that I don't know whether the Armstrong Ranch (which is about the size of a Central American country) practices this sort of bullshit game hunting, but it's all over the Hill Country and even west towards Del Rio.

If I only had a brain...

I'm not sure manslaughter is technically a "high crime".
