I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I don't remember the weather folk on the news doing this when I was younger.

Yeah, they did a lot of the same fear mongering, at least here in New England. One of the reasons so many people died in the Blizzard of '78 is that the TV weatherpeople had been predicting massive snowstorms that turned out to be nothing every other week leading up to the storm, so that when the big storm finally hit, no one was listening to the warnings anymore.

information libertarian

It's raining and gloomy in NC, and I think we're going to cook beef stew and homemade macacroni and cheese (great idea!) and watch luge. Nesting day!

Luge is good, although I do miss the days when the tracks weren't quite so good, when you'd occasionally get a luger getting launched off into space. That was always fun.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Not so much for the luger, though.

I have to say, the opening ceremony was really an interesting combination of beauty, the bizarre, and all around goofiness. I mean, who hasn't wanted to do donuts in a Ferrari in front of a bazillion people.

Today's lugers are a bunch of pansies.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, there is the two man luge...

In THE TIME FOR PANIC IS NOW! DEATH SNOW FROM ABOVE!!!1! news, my only skid driving home in the snow last night was when I had to brake suddenly for the moron who ran across the highway in front of me on I-55. Unless he was fleeing from a snow-inspired massacre in the Stuckey's that wasn't apparent from the highway, dude was just too stupid to live.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

am waiting for tv repair man, wearing fun new sweater from my mom (orange and pink).

I tossed 4 bags of trash last night and have a shelf and bag of recycling to toss today. I swear, it is amazing the amount of stuff we generate and accumulate.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Good news, Hil. I'm glad they finally worked it out - sounds like it'll be very interesting.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If one is to have a war on a noun, why not fear? The terror thing isn't working out so well, so I think a slight change in angle might work.

I'm glad you shared, Jesse. I don't care if I don't know the people. I'm excited and scandalised.

I'm willing to lose the 10 minutes or so it takes to lace up knee-high boots.

But if you include zip/lace, then you open yourself up to more boots--of course, not all of them will fit, but not all the lace-only ones are the same size either.

I say you go for it. Also, while you're doing stuff, can you create that fashion term site? It could be a wiki. That'd work.

eta: Congrats, hil!
