All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I want those sun and moon thingies!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Apparently we're going to get a billion inches of snow tomorrow afternoon, so I'm gonna stay snugly indoors all weekend. I'm close enough to the NJ coast that we don't usually get the major snow, though, just the wind. Which, yay. Sort of.

I finally caught up on Natter and Bitches, just as I really have to go to bed. Hmpf.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was very homey tonight and cleaned in my kitchen. dishes and sweeping and putting small appliances away, and then I got really ambitious and attacked the paint splatters all over one of the vintage countertops that have been there since I moved in. It looks really nice now and it didn't take that long.

I should go to bed soon myself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got them in 8.5, Aimée, and they fit nicely. Really comfortable.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

If one were Jilli, one could relace that with pink ribbon.

Of course, my knee-high granny boots are currently laced with black silk ribbon, but the calf-high have pink.

Boots with zippers vex me, because my calves are about 2" larger than most of them.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I hate boots. Period. I've never found a pair to fit over my calves.

ION, I'm out of Drambuie. This makes me sad.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

OK, so there's this piece on the radio right now at a cat show. There are cats talking in the background. It's making Devi batshit. She's stalking around with her ears back.

Hee! Last night, I was watching my Two Towers: Extended Edition, and had the Gollum documentary on. My cat happened to look at the TV screen just as the picture of Andy Serkis's cat showed up (his hairballs inspired the voice Serkis used), and she jumped up on the coffee table and put her face right up to the tv screen. She was so fascinated by the picture that I went back and freeze framed it for her. She watched it for a few more seconds, then went on with her life.

because my calves are about 2" larger than most of the boots with zippers.

Do they tend to have less slack that can be adjusted with the laces than boots that don't zip? These, I noted, also have elastic dart thingies. Less rigid than some of my others.

You know what there should be? Where I can find it? A fashion terms site, with both illustrations and photographs. So there'd be a "princess seams" entry with a fashion drawing and various example photographs and perhaps even pattern pieces, if applicable.

We had to put together a book like that for my fashion drawing class, and it was way cool. But I can't even remember the details.
