Must remember to tape the repeats of Stewart and Colbert today. Apparently the governor of Illinois was on last night ("I'm here with Governor Blaj...Governor Blojo...Governor Smith of Illinois.") too.

Not just Governor Smith--he was redubbed in the caption as "Governor 'Rod Smith'"!

Gus, I think we found your "house guest" in West Bend, Wisconsin! At least he's upgraded from just raiding the liquor cabinet to utilizing the shower and computer.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Answers compatible with two year olds receive extra credit. Additional bonus points for suggesting something fun to cook.

Chocolate cake!! I succumbed to the wild allure of the Evil White Giggling Overlord and bought a devil's food cake mix last night. And had chocolate cake for breakfast! Without even Bill Cosby giving me pernmission.

(It is two layers, with high-end raspberry jam spread in between the layers. Perfect mix of sweet and tart! Why didn't I bring a piece to work with me!!!)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Say, Flea, have you been to the NC Museum of Life and Science, in Durham? [link]

They have some interactive stuff that the Flealet might enjoy. I think--I kind of suck at figuring out what's age appropriate.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

flea, something warm. maybe cook homemade mac&cheese?

Despite the forecasted blizzard, I think I am going to spend lots of this weekend out of my apartment. I am kind of sick of the place. I am seeing about a hair appointment tomorrow, also a mani and pedi, then in the evening I am meeting up with my brother. Sunday there is church, then an already scheduled brunch with brother to have REAL FOOD, then maybe home for movie viewing on the computer, maybe knitting.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I have to go into work on Sunday.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Don't overdo it, msbelle.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

And why didn't Nutty bring me any, I wonder? Aside from the whole cow issue, I mean.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Stupid blizzard! I made reservations for a Valebirthiversary dinner tomorrow night a month in advance.
