Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I heard that doctors joining practices now were born after the IBM PC was first released.

I refuse to run the numbers. I couldn't bear it if it were true.

My prescription has barely changed in 3 years. Yay. And they did a test where I wore an eyepatch. I refrained from pirate jokes (and thought of tommyrot). Now the laundry is drying, while I try to get used to seeing the edge of the new frames.

While waiting for the glasses I went to the comic shop. There's a new Spike book that (according to the blurb) features Los Hermanos Numeros. And it might have involved Spike being accused of killing Elizabeth Short, I'm not really sure.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There's a girl at my school who was born in 1984. Granted, she's notably young to be getting a master's (graduated from college at 20 and came straight in), but STILL.

Hi! Can anyone explain structuralism to me in simplicity?

um-

I just had a policeman in my house, and he saw me in my underwear!

apparantly I left my door open and my downstairs neighbor called the police. It scared the crap out of me when someone started coming up my stairs, so of course I ran out to see what was going on-- without, you know, throwing on some pants!

I think I must die.

Also, couldn't someone have, you know, rung the doorbell?

Our wings are not tired.

Oh my Sophia! No doubt he wasn't thrown by the lack o pants. Seems like the neighbor could have called you or something. Sorry for the upset.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hi! Can anyone explain structuralism to me in simplicity?

Um... maybe.

Structuralism posits a wide separation between the signifier (a word) and the signified (the actual thing the word refers to). IOW, words can't reliably be expected to mean exactly what we want. Or something. So structualism focuses on the relationships between varous signifiers, and focuses much less on on what the signifier-signified relationship.

Post-structuralism is similar, but also focuses on how the relationship between signifiers changes over time.

OK, I bet I'm forgetting lots of stuff here. It's been years and years since I've read such theory... so hopefully someone who knows more what they're talking about can step in....

Good lord, Sophia! You and Sue should have traded off bell-ringing. But... your neighbor called the cops because your door was open? That's bizarre.
