Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

hip deep in pie

She had the baby before Xmas, Theo. Her husband seems to be taking her place during Mat. Leave.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Her husband seems to be taking her place during Mat. Leave.

Hey, no fair!

I want to do that sprouts thing--perhaps even to my own keyboard. Which reminds me, I need to water my plants.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ita, I'm glad you're feeling better. You too, msbelle, although in your case it seems like it's not better enough.

So now Jon Stewart has two babies? Cool. Actually, he and Cash are kind of parenting twins, what with the not quite two year old boy and the baby girl.

Coding and Sleeping

President Bush's budget has arrived.

>[link]

Tax cuts, increased military spending, cuts in education (but somewhat offset by increases for hiring science and math teachers as stated in the StoU) and health care for the poor. Nothing unexpected.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

You know, speaking of TDS, I went to an improv show last night featuring Dan Bakkedahl-- he was amazing. Suprisingly one of the meanest improvisors I've ever seen, even though he seems fairly diffident in his TDS persona. But very, very talented.

Kristin Wiig and Jason Sudeikis were there-- for the one of you who recognize the name, Wiig is surprisingly wee.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

bon bon, take a look at who's DJing at my local bar.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Ooooh. A little hung over.

Kristen, Polgara, Kat n' Lori took me out for steak at the Saddle Ranch and a big ole bottle of champagne. I did not ride the bull.

None of this feels quite real, yet. I know people publish and stuff, and hello, I'm amongst Buffistas, the writingest, mars roveringest, kraviest cuties ever. Plus people like Cashmere who just had a baby and is back working the fields of the internet, like, 4 hours later.

Still. This doesn't happen to me.

I keep thinking, "Someone is paying me for writing?...Fools!"

When I woke up to all the congrats in LJ and here it was a little realer, but then I thought, "shit, how am I gonna explain this when it turns out they made a terrible mistake and meant to make an offer to someone else?"

So surreal. I got the "We're so PROUD OF YOU!" call from mom and dad. That was AWESOME.

Once the shock wears off, someone is going to have to peel me off the ceiling.

The editor said they haven't published a memoir before, this is new ground for them. He told my agent they just really want to work with me. I'm still melty.

Do you ever go to the trivia night, Tom?

Not as often as I would like. I work the early shift on Tuesdays, and I have to be at work at 7:30.
