I think (for what it's worth), that you should let Burrell drive you.

No, thanks, Burrell. I've taken the Ambien, and I'll sleep soon, no matter the pain. I just need to wake up clear.
But I do wonder what they do for you there--if they have no magic, I have a cuddle lounge and rooibos tea. But I know vw went in a few days ago, poor thing, and got hers taken down from an 8 to a 3. At this point, I want to know all my options.
Okay, ita. But remember you can call at any time.
I hate ERs and I hate making people come with me to them. But your offer is appreciated in that let-me-never-take-you-up-on-it way.

ita, a friend of mine that gets horrible migraines has received Toradol at the ER, if I'm remembering correctly. After a few ER visits, he was given a vial of it to keep in the fridge and he gives himself a shot of it when necessary.
This article talks a bit about it, if you're interested.
Rest and less pain ~ma to you.

Eww.
Nicole, aren't you supposed to be asleep.
Thanks Nicole. Interesting. I tried not to cascade google too far (allodynia was about as far as I went) becuase I like to pretend that if I don't know about it, I won't suffer from it. Worked for auras for years. I'ma keep doing it.
But they do have knockout drugs at the ER--not like going and getting Benadryl after making you wait for hours. Hopefully not needed.

Understood. It was offered in that I-hope-that-you-won't-need-it way.
Dude, they give my MiL benadryl when she goes in for chemo. Benadryl?!? That seems so old school, but I guess it works.
My favourite was when they wouldn't give me benadryl because I was driving myself home. I get it, except I stopped on the way home to buy my own.
Best case scenario for Thursday is a) I live that long without snapping entire b) they come up with another procedure that'll last longer c) the procedure is covered by insurance and can be scheduled ASAP d) it's something I can drive myself to and from.
Either this Ambien is taking a long time to kick in, or I'm going to be appalled by these posts in the morning. But they look okay.
eta: Aha! Found an Ambien-related mistake/omission--Thursday refers to my moved up pain management appointment. Unless I alread mentioned that, and this coda is the error instead.
ita, how's that ambien treating you now?
