Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

FWIW, No Depictions of Muhammad was covered in the most intro of J-school classes. The flames may have been fanned, but it's hard to imagine that the editor/publisher didn't mean for them to be.

OMG, speaking of blashpemy, one of the guys at the party I was at last night was wearing this t-shit:

On the front it said "The Devil is as Ugly as Sin" with this big hideous charicature done like those spray-paint shirts you see at state fairs and stuff.

On the back: a big cross, and the words "'Cause Jesus Beats Him with a Stick."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

How to turn an empty whiskey bottle into a PC.

The shirt is funny, but this typo is funnier.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

[eta: Oh hey! The guy who did this study is the same guy who did the "Stupid People Don't Know They're Stupid" study way back when!]

I guess he focuses his research on egocentrism? The guy sure thinks highly of himself.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, JZ, y'all have great senators...I could do that. But it would still be good if JP won.(kind of a long shot. I continually underestimate the warrant-hating troll vote every election season, though.) He is a horrible person and I'm very tired of writing *that* letter. Maybe I should write a big long one and get kylsucks.com

Hee. My thoughts exactly.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Driver and Izzard as Dahlia and Wayne, a couple of traveling con-artists on a splurge through America.

Huh. I think I like it.

Okay, it sounds like it could be good. t crosses fingers

Strega, the tone reads to me like the what ifs are new what ifs, as opposed to common currency in a not-small genre.

And, okay, the opening sentence "What if ET isn't cute?" just made me sprain my eyes.

Hm. Actually, maybe the dopey opening is why the rest didn't bother me. Because that led me to take it as sort of a "filler/magazine" piece rather than actual news. It's also possible that reading the Sunday paper has made me numb to seeing news stories that aren't news.
