I think we all know that there are certain types of people who want attention and go about getting it in odd ways. For these creatures, who I do not understand at all, it is enough to get attention, even if it is negative.
WORD. I meant to add that.
It's not something I get at all. But some people will do anything to get people to pay attention to them. Any people. Any attention.
The whole thing makes me uncomfortable.
Timelies all!
Spent today at the FSGW Mini-Festival, which was fun. After dinner we came home and watched The Time Machine.(The version with Rod Taylor)
Seriously. Ryan's adorable. Summer's adorable. Sometimes even Seth's adorable, but I need to stop watching The OC.
I have packed up the computer and two accessories for pick-up tomorrow. Am very excited, I gained space in the bedroom and hall closet. Of course my brain is all "let's do more...let's go clean up the rest of the desk/set-up the sewing stuff/...." my body is all "tired now, kinda hurty, please to go to bed". Morning will be interesting.
I just got a (short, follow-up) email from a headhunter. PLEASE GOD let me never have a job where I'm checking my work email at 11 on a Saturday night.
DJ,
I'm not sure if this answers the question, but my Beau has a legal name and the name he uses most of the time. I don't know which name his paycheck is under, but he files is taxes under his legal name. He gets regular W-2s.
If he were self-employed and/or didn't get W-2s, it might be trickier, but since that's the sole source of his income, and his taxes are very straightforward, it hasn't been a problem to file under his legal name.
I wonder why I never see any pictures of Rachel McAdams. Or George Clooney. But I stopped reading blogs that were all about papparazzi photos-- like (the former) page six six six and pink is the new blog. It started making me feel kind of ill after awhile. Still read Gawker Stalker, though.
If one never changed their SS card after marrying because they weren't/aren't sure they want to legally change their name, but she uses her husband's last name most of the time, and it's the one on her paycheck and W-2. Is that going to be a problem when she files taxes? She will of course use the name SS has for her on the return.
In my experience, you'll still get your refunds and everything. At some point, you and your employer will start to get letters from the federal government that you're using the wrong SSN. It takes a few years, though, for them to realize it.
