It's a real burden being right so often.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another folky weekend, with the open sing tonight and the Mini-Fest tomorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My first thought was "tommy needs one of these!" And then I figured Gud should have one too, and the list started getting unwieldy, so I figure one for each Buffista. To start.

I'll say upfront that I don't have the storage for it, so if Emaryn or someone wants mine, that's cool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I used to be all...well, business at the office. No personal information of any weight, and absolutely no trash talking about anyone else.

I was nice to everyone, and they were nice to me. It was pleasant.

I think Allyson textually yelled at me about forming bonds at work, and I figured I'd give it a try.

Which is why I now get a meta laugh out of walking past a co-worker and cracking him up with a hand signal for "Dear Lord, she's on the phone again????"

I still have my hard and fast rules--that one wedding was the only time I've knowingly seen co-workers outside of the office other than krav (for which they're paying, so it's all good). But the cohort-having is pretty fun.

Which reminds me of the term work-wife or work-husband. Would anyone here say they have one?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Which reminds me of the term work-wife or work-husband. Would anyone here say they have one?

I've only recently heard the term.

I think I have a work-dog.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I used to refer to myself as my boss's bitch, but I think that's not the same thing.

We can make it pink. And sparkly. And paint monkeys on it.

Coding and Sleeping

While at a Toy-R-Us for their going out of business sale and spending money that probably should not have been spent (but getting cool and heavily discounted stuff for the kids), I saw the Hello Kitty DVD player. Wow is that pink.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Huh. I just got a letter from the landlord asking if we want to buy the house we're renting.

On the one hand, great location.

On the other hand, we were thinking of going to something with, say, another half a bathroom.

On the other other hand, priced below anything else in the neighborhood.

And again I say, huh.

edit: way below, I think.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Which reminds me of the term work-wife or work-husband. Would anyone here say they have one?

That term bugs the shit out of me.

(Which is to say, yes.)
