Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just finished writing as essay called Munchasen's by Internet, about a woman who scammed The Bronze into believing she had a dying child, before we did some sleuthing and found out that nothing she ever said was true.

I just googled her real name, and discovered an obituary. She died about six weeks ago. Man. I was just writing some cruel shit about this woman.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What did she die of?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That's really sad.

Of course, if the obituary turns out to be fake...

It doesn't say, tommyrot.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Man. I was just writing some cruel shit about this woman.
I suspect the cruel shit still holds, just bad timing. Time will pass before it hits the street though, I'd still write it.

Ex-Gays Now Number In The Millions According To Falwell

In 2003 Exodus said exgays numbered in the "thousands..."
In 2004 Exodus said exgays numbered in the "tens of thousands..."
In 2005 Exodus said exgays numbered in the "hundreds of thousands..."

But now it's 2006 so the order of magnitude is due for an increase. According to Jerry Falwell's recent column in WorldNutDaily exgays now number in the millions!

If the shoe were on the other foot and he was a recovering homosexual (as millions of Americans are), Mr. Kenny wouldn't be given the time of day by the networks.

Run for your lives! before the geometric progression of ex-gays blots out the sun and crushes us all!

eta: Exodus is an ex-gay group funded by the anti-gay group Focus on the Family

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Weird timing, Allyson. But I don't think anything you'd have said about her was out of line.

Would you take it?

Not a chance. But I'm guessing for people for whom traumatic events are consuming their whole lives, the potential-cost-benefit analysis is different.
