Jesse! I was just talking about you last night. One of my roommates had a non-religious guest, who was confused about some of the religious stuff that come along with meals (washing hands with a blessing before eating bread, for example, but not before other foods). So I bragged about you and how, after a couple of days of trips in NYC with me, you were totally on top of all these rules.

Cashmere, he's both arodable and gorgeous at the same time! Those eyes! There are two people currently in this room with me, and both of them got up from their computers to take a better look at the picture on my screen.

it freaks me out (in a good way) thinking I helped make a person

I can't get over how it seems to contradict the mas and energy conservation rules that the universe seems to be controlled by. Nothing comes out of thin air, yet one minute there wasn't a person, and then there is, a whole complete person, right there, and how could it be created out of nothing?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ah, I see. I thought (hoped?) it was a shoutout related kerfuffle. I didn't like the ep myself, but I'm not a fan of the show so much anyway.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I bragged about you and how, after a couple of days of trips in NYC with me, you were totally on top of all these rules.

Heh. Only because I asked about every single thing every single time, so I appreciate your patience.

OK, I need to get out of the house.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Timelies. Matt landed safe in NY - got to the hospital just before his mom went into surgery ( they may have found the source of the infection) he sounds fairly good and happy that he made the trip . This may be because he was able to rent a VUE - so it is like driving his own car. I am sure there will be some family drama later, but fornow - things are good. I am vaguely jealous because he will be going to a real diner.

You're kidding, right? It was absolutely fascinating for me to see these things through somebody else's eyes. I appreciated the attention, and was only worried that it would burden the people around me, not the other way around!

beth, my thoughts are with you, Matt and his family.

Coding and Sleeping

Owen's now talking in sort-of sentences, including, "Ready, set, go!"

Apparently my kids have watched too much British produced programming, they say "Ready, steady, go!"

Also, Hi Nilly!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Lot's o' pretty graphs.

Trust my rage

Nilly, I lvoe the way you expressed this. I think about it all the time - I look at Ellie and just wonder where she came from. (Obviously, I'm not going to forget, but it still amazes me.)

Hey, Gud! How are things going with you and yours?

Thanks for the link, tommy! I can't believe how many of these graphs I recognize, even on their tiny-scale pictures. But I'm anyway going to forward the link to several people who work in the field - it will definitely help in preparing presentations and the like.

Also, if you look at the graph of physicists, the names in pink-brown-orange (what color is that, anyway?) to the right are mostly from our group of research.

Stephanie, thanks! And now I want a cute-Ellie story, too. With pictures, of course, if possible. I'm all greedy today.
