Bad: I'm effing freezing, and it's raining here. AGAIN.
Good: The lunch today included a fruit platter, with some very very good pineapple. Yum.

Happy Birthday, Anne.
Congratulations, ita.
Thankfully only two hours left in my Monday workday. Ugh.
Kat, I thought the same exact thing in the closet. "Don't kiss her, don't kiss her." He was so awesomely sweet. And George had me cracking up at the end. "Anyone want to have sex?" Bwah!
Congratulations ita!!
Grey's Anatomy: Wow, what an episode to see on a day when it's one week before the 9 year anniversary of my mother's death, I just had lunch with two friends -- one of whom had just returned from dealing with her mother's estate and the other who is coming up on the one-year anniversary of her mother's death. Why couldn't they have warned me? And no, I don't think that Meredeth knew about her mother and the Chief, but I can't help but think that she has an inkling now. I enjoyed the Izzy story muchly.
Well, given that my main concern was not having to pay $500, I wasn't too concerned. It's not like it was cancerous or anything. I could have disposed of it in the trash like rotten meat. Or I could have had it bottled in formaldehyde and donated it to the nearest high school biology department.
It's really annoying because I think they just stick it in a bio-hazard bag and drop it into a medical waste incinerator. Ca-ching! That will be $500 and a pint of blood, please.
Aimee, part of it is that for McDreamy to kiss her... well, that would make him less McDreamy. Because McDreamy did the right thing and decided to stay with Addison. He can be tortured about it, but if he's really being McDreamy, then he does the right thing, even when it hurts. Or so Shonda Rhimes might say... I think. It was totally right for him to be all present and consoling. But a kiss would have crossed that. THOUGH she could have initiated the kiss and that would have been a different story for me. Acceptable within her character. Pathetic and sad, but still in character (and social)!
Sumi, I agree that she didn't know. I just don't know if she does now.
Which also leads me to Adele! Does Adele know? Did she at the time? Does she know that he goes to see Ellis 2 or 3 times a week now?
Why me?
I don't know! I already said it was irrational and that I was ashamed! What more do you want?
Although I would be into it. I'd probably take pictures and post them....
And suddenly I don't feel so ashamed anymore.
ITA, Kat.
Although, I don't really like the wife, but good on him for trying to fix it. And, how much did I love Cristina's apology? Cracked my shit up. But, I did feel that Burke should have apologized to Dr. Halfrect, as well.
but it made sense that he wouldn't. He's actually within his right as her boss to question what she does. It would make him a micromanaging kinda guy, which wouldn't be out of character. I also didn't buy that he never questioned another surgeon about something before. It's his JOB as a teacher to question, so why wouldn't he. Though, she was so right with calling him on the basis of it.
Each episode makes me like Burke more. And he was right in what he said to Cristina. I like watching him learn how to draw appropriate boundaries between his persona as boss's boss and his persona as boyfriend.
I don't like Addison either. But that's a fault of the writing, I think. There's no reason to like her because we don't know her at all. The last shot of the two of them in the bed with the dog was pretty sweet though.
