I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Just catching up....

Congrats, ita!!!! Brown belts are very becoming to you!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

They flushed and dug it out, and then retested his hearing a few days later. It had improved to near-normal levels!

Oh man, that's some trauma to put a kid through. I had a warm water syringe flush from a nurse years ago, and it was...disconcerting. Also, the size of the wax ball that came out didn't look like it should have been able to come out.

Late last year the ENT treating me for another issue also scraped out one of my ears with a hook-like implement. That was more disconcerting AND painful.

I think Allyson had a similar experience last year, and it happened to me many years ago as well. (Just one ear though, but....yeuch.)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

ita is Teh Awesome, but I think this comes as no surprise. I remain impressed, though.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Yeah, I periodically go completely deaf in one ear, but last time, it was both, like being underwater almost.

It bothers.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

It's only happened to me once, but I went deaf under similar circumstances in one ear when I was about 20.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had a warm water syringe flush from a nurse years ago, and it was...disconcerting.

I thought it was fun. (I was about six.)

Also, the size of the wax ball that came out didn't look like it should have been able to come out.

Yeah, that amazed me.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

OR -- and this is just a possibility -- she could become Batgirl.

The library schools totally need to go this route for recruiting, rather than the tired old "someday, all of the old ladies are going to retire, and then a job might open up somewhere."

It's happening to me right now, AINSFG. I need to hydrogen peroxide which is not fun.
